DENNIS ARTER
Dennis Arter, is a quality consultant and trainer well-known in the quality arena as “the Audit Guy.” Since 1988, Dennis has presented his auditing instruction worldwide to more than 8,000 people from various industries and organizations of all sizes.

Dennis is an ASQ-Certified Quality Auditor and also a fellow in the American Society for Quality, former board member, and active member in the customer-supplier division. Dennis is a licensed mechanical engineer with a degree in biochemistry from the University of Illinois.

In addition to his best-selling books and magazine articles on auditing and ISO 9001, Dennis Arter wrote Quality Audits for Improved Performance, upon which this course is based.



 
CRAIG COCHRAN
Craig Cochran is the North Metro Regional Manager with Georgia Tech's Economic Development Institute. He has an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor's degree in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Cochran is a Certified Quality Manager, Certified Quality Engineer, and Certified Quality Auditor through the American Society for Quality. He is certified as a QMS Lead Auditor through RABQSA.

PRAVEEN GUPTA
Praveen Gupta, president of Accelper Consulting, has been working in the business performance improvement field since 1980. Praveen has trained executives for Motorola University in Six Sigma, Design for Manufacturability, Cycle Time Reduction, Statistical Process Control and Managing Continuous Improvement. He has consulted with more than one hundred corporations in achieving improved performance.

Praveen holds an MSEE in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and is a CQE, a CSQE and a PE in Illinois. He is also an ASQ Fellow and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Praveen has published several books, including his best-selling Six Sigma Business Scorecard, The Six Sigma Performance Handbook, Business Innovation, and Improving Quality in Healthcare.



 
H. JAMES HARRINGTON
H. James Harrington, Ph.D., is the chief executive officer of the Harrington Institute. He also serves as chairman of the board for a number of businesses and the U.S. chairman of technologies for Project Management at the University of Quebec, Montreal. He’s recognized as a world leader in applying performance improvement methodologies to business processes.

Harrington is past chairman of the prestigious International Academy for Quality and past president of the American Society for Quality. He’s also an active member of the Global Knowledge Economics Council.
 
 
 


LORRI HUNT
Lorri Hunt is an active member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group to ISO Technical Committee 176. She currently serves in the key position of Chair of Task Group 9001/4, the United States group responsible for developing consensus positions related to ISO 9001 and 9004. She's held several international positions on ISO TC 176 and most recently was appointed as the Deputy Task Group Leader to the current amendment to ISO 9001.

Lorri frequently contributes to quality publications and journals and was a contributing author to the ISO 9000:2000 Handbook. Lorri is a frequent speaker at conferences and was keynote address speaker at the 2003 ASQ ISO 9001 conference. As president of Lorri Hunt and Associates with 10 years' experience helping organizations implement ISO 9001:2000, Lorri brings a common sense approach to working with clients.



 
CHAD KYMAL
Chad Kymal is a widely sought after international trainer and consultant whose broad experience includes TQM, setup reduction, technology assessment and inventory analysis, statistical process control, and quality function deployment. He has served on the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award board of examiners and is an RABQSA-certified lead auditor. LISA D. MCNARY
Lisa D. McNary, Ph.D., was W. Edwards Deming's last graduate student. Deming served on her doctoral disseration committee and was also her internship advisor.

Her undergraduate degree is from Louisiana State University, her master's degree from Lamar University of the Texas State University System, and her doctorate is from the University of New Mexico. She has also done post-doctoral study at Ohio State University.

Dr. McNary is the owner of Disc Consulting Ltd., an organizational specialty firm. She also teaches various college-level courses in management, lecturing nationally as well as internationally. Her research has been published in a number of scholarly journals and trade press publications.

MIKE MICKLEWRIGHT
Mike Micklewright is a dynamic speaker, Dr. Deming impersonator, author, business and quality consultant, and trainer based in the Chicago area.

Mike writes his own column for Quality Digest, an on-line magazine, in which he is known as the Whys Guy. He has recently written two books: Out of Another @#%^! Crisis and Lean ISO 9001. Mike is also a Midwest Board Member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME).

Mike specializes in Lean, ISO 9001, Leadership, Deming, and Root Cause Analysis. He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, and Quality Manager. He also holds an Engineering degree from the University of Illinois. 



 
RODERICK A. MUNRO
Roderick A. Munro, Ph.D., is an ASQ Fellow, CQE, CQA, and Certified Quality Manager, and has worked in industry for nearly 20 years in quality and quality training positions. He has previously published articles on Six Sigma and has spoken on the topic to various groups and organizations. He was also instrumental in approving the Six Sigma Champion and Black Belt training program for a Fortune 100 company. Munro received a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from Cambridge State University, and an Ed.S. in Instructional Technology from Wayne State University.



 
DENISE ROBITAILLE
Denise Robitaille is the author of numerous books on various quality topics. She is an internationally recognized speaker who brings years of experience in business and industry to her work in the quality profession. In November of 2005, she was recognized in Quality Digest as one of the “Drivers of Quality.” Denise is a member of U.S. TAG to ISO/TC 176, the committee responsible for updating the ISO 9000 family of standards. She is also a RABQSA-certified lead assessor, an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, and a fellow of ASQ.

As the principal of Robitaille Associates she has helped numerous companies in diverse fields to achieve ISO 9001 registration and to improve their quality management systems. She has conducted training courses for thousands of individuals on such topics as corrective action, management review, auditing, document control and implementing ISO 9001.

Denise’s books include: The Corrective Action Handbook, The Management Review Handbook, The Preventive Action Handbook, Root Cause Analysis: Basic Tools and Techniques, Document Control and Managing Supplier-Related Processes. JOHANNA ROTHMAN
Johanna Rothman helps managers, teams, and organizations become more effective with her pragmatic approaches to the issues of project management, risk management, and people management. Rothman is a frequent speaker and author on managing high-technology product development and has written more than 100 articles and papers. She is a columnist for Software Development, Computerworld.com, and StickyMinds.com. She also publishes Reflections, an acclaimed quarterly newsletter about managing product development.


 
ANGELO SCANGAS
Angelo Scangas has an MBA and a master's degree degree in manufacturing engineering. He is certified in lean manufacturing and quality management. He is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt with 26 years' experience in the medical, automotive, electronic and chemical industries.

R. TIMOTHY STEIN
R. Timothy Stein founded Business Performance Associates in 1994, which has consulted with more than eighty companies from eighteen industry segments, particularly the medical device, pharmaceutical, biologics, and diagnostic industries. Stein brings years of software development and system implementation experience to the subject of computer system risk management. He has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a doctorate in organizational psychology.




WILLIAM A. STIMSON
William A. Stimson, Ph.D., is a certified quality auditor and consultant in ISO 9000 requirements, statistical process control, and quality management. He has more than 30 years' experience in industry, 20 of them as an engineer and manager. This experience includes the design and development of automatic control systems for spacecraft and for industrial applications, and project and functional management of test and evaluation groups. In addition, Stimson spent 10 years as a lead auditor with the U.S. Navy responsible for the qualification of defense contractors and shipyards under Mil-Q-9858.



FRANK VOEHL
Frank Voehl is president and chairman of Strategy Associates Inc. and a senior consultant and chancellor for the Harrington Institute. He also serves as the chairman of the board for a number of businesses and as a Master Black Belt instructor and technology advisor at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He’s recognized as one of the world leaders in applying quality measurement and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to business processes.



RUSSELL T. WESTCOTT
Russell T. Westcott is president of R.T. Westcott & Associates, a consulting firm that assists clients with strategic planning, the ISO 9001/9004 quality management system implementation and registration process, the application of lean manufacturing and benchmarking as well as qualifying under Baldrige-type criteria. He's a fellow of the American Society for Quality and an ASQ Certified Quality Manager. Westcott serves on several committees of ASQ's Quality Management Division.


 
 
DONALD J. WHEELER
Donald J. Wheeler, Ph.D., is a consulting statistician who had the good fortune to work with W. Edwards Deming and David S. Chambers. Dr. Wheeler graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelor's degrees in physics and mathematics, and has master's and doctorate degrees in statistics from Southern Methodist University. From 1970 to 1982 he taught in the statistics department at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where he was an associate professor. Between 1981 and 1993, he periodically assisted Dr. Deming with his four-day seminars. He is the author of more than 15 books and more than 60 articles. Dr. Wheeler is a fellow of the American Statistical Association.
