So what's different about Sailing Through Six Sigma? Most of the materials dedicated to Six Sigma to date have focused on its technical dimensions. In other words, they have focused on the tools, techniques, processes, and calculations associated with Six Sigma. We refer to this as the "The Science." It's science because it can be taught, practiced, and mastered. It's absolutely necessary, but not sufficient to ensure a successful implementation. Our experience shows that improvement efforts generally fail due to problems within management planning, practices, values, and behaviors. This is what we call "The Art." There are three major sections of Sailing Through Six Sigma: The Business Case for Six Sigma (Chapter 1), The Art of Six Sigma (Chapters 2-5), and The Science of Six Sigma (Chapters 6-7). The book is 224 pages in length, spiral bound and 6" X 8" in size. The book is co-authored by Brassard & Ritter, co-creators and co-authors of The Memory Jogger? series, the best-selling publications that the authoring team created over the last 15 years.

Sailing Through Six Sigma is Perfect For:

  • Executives who are responsible for leading the Six Sigma implementation process
  • Black Belts who want a convenient reference guide as opposed to one or more very thick 3-ring binders
  • Organizations that are already implementing Six Sigma
