Making Sense of Document Control Requirements

E-mail this product to a friend

Documents are supposed to be useful tools. They describe requirements. As such, they are indispensable to an organization’s QMS (quality management system). Unfortunately, the challenge of managing documentation has evolved into a burdensome task where maintaining control supersedes actual utilization. We spend more energy making sure things are “controlled” and less on what the documents actually say.

This course is designed to assist individuals in identifying documents and appropriately defining the requirements that will make them a positive feature of the organization.

Topics to Be Covered Include:

  • Defining documents and documentation
  • Different kinds of documents
  • Identifying owners and defining responsibility
  • Relationship between documents and records
  • Tips for document writers
  • Managing and maintaining your documents
  • Handling revisions and deviations
  • Writing your document control procedure
Who Should Attend
This is a great course for anyone who is responsible for generating documents, auditing, managing/coordinating documentation, writing QMS procedures or managing various aspects of the organization’s QMS.
