Little BIG BOOK Series for Performance Improvement

Successful organizations know that there is more to staying in business than just making money. Increasingly, forward-thinking companies are looking to corporate governance to boost sales, improve their reputation with the public, and ensure long-term success. However, forming an efficient, experienced board of directors can be tricky. Corporate Governance for Small to Mid-Sized Organizations explains the how and why of recruiting, training, and evolving a board of directors to meet any kind or organization's needs.

This book contains the decades of experience held by H. James Harrington and Marcos E.J. Bertin, legendary quality consultants who also serve on the boards of directors for many highly successful companies. Included are chapters on:
  • Forming a board of directors in a family-owned business
  • Organizing, evaluating, and training board members
  • Protecting board members from legal liabilities
  • Sample code of ethics
