The fishbone (or cause-and-effect) diagram is a versatile tool with a variety of applications. Fundamentally, fishbones provide users with a holistic perspective of a process or event, thereby allowing broader and more cross-functional understanding of factors and their corresponding interrelations and interdependencies.
There are many models of fishbone diagrams – some more elaborate than others.
This session deals with utilizing a simplified version of the fishbone that can be used by any size group or organization to more efficiently and effectively investigate the root cause of a problem and the contributing factors.
